Our sanctuary is home to over 100 animals. Most of the animals here came to us after being rescued, rehomed, or retired. Seniors, animals with medical needs, or those who simply had nowhere else to go. We don't take them in temporarily, so when an animal comes here, this is home.

We think a lot about what it would mean to spend your last years somewhere unfamiliar, scared, or alone. When they arrive here, they join a big herd with a whole lot of personality, and for a lot of them, that social connection matters just as much as the physical care.

Keeping that promise isn't free. Hay is the foundation of our animals' health, and quality matters. We feed our herd good quality orchard grass, which is essential for their digestion, weight, and overall wellbeing. Poor quality hay isn't just less nutritious - it can cause serious health problems, especially for seniors. Keeping our herd fed means going through an average of 100,000 pounds of hay every year, about 1,400 bales each weighing around 70 pounds. Our annual hay budget alone runs around $11,000 to $12,000.

Beyond hay, we cover veterinary care, medications, shearing, hoof trims, dental checks, and everything else that comes with caring for this many residents, because they deserve it.

Your donation, whatever the size, goes directly to the animals in our care. Thank you for being in their corner.
