  • We understand that life can bring unexpected challenges, sometimes leading to the difficult decision to rehome a beloved animal. Whether due to a move, financial strain, health issues, or other circumstances, we’re here to help.

REHOMING YOUR ANIMAL(S): We’re happy to create a social media post on your behalf to help find a new home for your animal and share your rehoming needs through our rescue and sanctuary networks. If you’re interested in this option, please click here.

Be sure to check out our rehoming guides as well for information on local, regional, and national resources for rehoming as well.

We aren’t able to offer assistance for the placement of domestic animals. If you need help with rehoming a domestic animal please contact your local humane society. If you need help with a wild animal, please contact Think Wild or the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife. For found birds, please contact Native Bird Care & Rescue.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If we are unable to take your animal but find a potential adopter, we can assist in facilitating the initial communication. However, it’s important for both the owner and the adopter to have open and thorough discussions about all the details, including medical records, health history, and any other important information about the animal. Ultimately, it’s up to both parties to make sure everything is covered and understood.

  • Our sanctuary residents aren’t available for adoption, but we try to assist owners in rehoming animals we can’t take in ourselves. If you’d like to be considered for these opportunities—or if you’re willing to help spread the word when an animal needs a home—please join our ADOPTION LIST.

Joining our potential adopter list doesn’t commit you to adopting—it simply helps us match animals in need with those who may be interested when the time is right. Thank you for being open to offering a loving home to an animal in need!

IMPORTANT NOTE: If we help connect owners looking to rehome animals with potential adopters, we’re happy to help facilitate the initial communication. However, it’s important for both the owner and the adopter to have open and thorough discussions about all the details, including medical records, health history, and any other important information about the animal. Ultimately, it’s up to both parties to make sure everything is covered and understood.
